Position Title: Maintenance Crew Member
Type: Full time
Position summary: The landscape crew member is a landscaper working of the crew leader. This position works as a member of a team to ensure the commercial properties we service are maintained and enhance the grounds by using sound horticultural practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Completes landscape maintenance duties, such as mowing, weed control, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, trimming, pruning.
- Maintains flower beds, shrubs, and turf this includes but not limited to inspecting health of plants, removing dead plant material.
- Reports irrigation issues to their crew leader.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site, equipment, and vehicle.
- Proper use of personal protective equipment
Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- 0-1 years working knowledge of standard horticultural practices
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Job planning and solving skills
- Must be able to communicate and work well in a team
- Able to adapt to a fast-working environment
Equipment –
- Push mower
- Hedge trimmer
- String Trimmer
- Blower
- Hand tools: hand pruners, rakes, loopers etc.
Proficiencies/Certifications:
- Valid driver license if the position requires one (Salary will be discussed with supervisor if hired as a driver)
Salary: $16 – $18.00 per hour
