Position Title: Enhancement Crew Leader
Type: Full time
Position summary: The Enhancement Crew Leader position works as a member of the team and directs the daily activities of two or more team members at a job site. The Enhancement crew leader is responsible for ensuring the crew works safely and efficiently while delivering quality jobs. This position is able to operate a variety of equipment, has a working knowledge of horticultural practices and safety standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to back hoes, bobcats, sod cutters, weed eaters, chainsaws, etc.
- Work consists of grading, shrub, tree and sod installation, mulching, lawn renovations, etc.
- Assists the supervisor in planning and organizing the job, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available.
- Ensures all jobs are completed in the most time-efficient manner meeting the company productivity targets.
- Assists the supervisor in completing the necessary paperwork including timesheets and work orders.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site, equipment, and vehicle.
- Reports Irrigation issues by filling the appropriate paperwork and contacting Field Supervisor.
- Manages a team of one or more employees, including handling personnel issues, onsite training and policies and procedures.
- Train crew members on the property techniques for performing regular tasks.
- Briefs supervisors and makes recommendations on job status, employee, or client concerns
- Completes the necessary paperwork including work orders, Vehicle Inspection sheets, Receipts and Po’s.
- Teaches and oversees the correct clock in and out times for each employee using the appropriate application on their phone.
- Maintains assigned equipment and notifies management of needed repairs
Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience as an Enhancement
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and different machinery
- Planting and watering skills
- Able to follow plans and instructions
- Job planning skills, problem solving skills
- Able to inspire workers to work to their best ability.
Equipment – Operate safely and efficiently before moving into a different level:
- Trencher
- Tractor
- Skid steer
- Stump grinder
- Blower
Proficiencies/Certifications:
- Valid driver license preferred but not necessary
Salary: $25 to $30
